ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK recrute: Senior Energy Specialist - Sénégal

Description de l'offre : The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is an International Multilateral Development Institution established since 1975 with the mission to foster the economic development  of and social progress of its 56 Member Countries and Muslim Communities in Non Member Countries in accordance with the Principles  of Shari’ah i.e., Islamic Law. The Regional Office of Dakar covers 11 countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Mali, Niger, Senegal,  Sierra Leone and Togo. The IDB is looking for a talented and experienced  staff, citizen from the countries under the constituency referred to above, for a permanent Dakar-based local position of Senior Energy Specialist. Job purpose The Senior Energy Specialist plays will assist the Bank in country strategic sector work, and provide support to sector portfolios of programs/projects in mem- ber countries under the Regional Office constituency. More specifically, he will provide input leadership in policy and formulation for IDB assistance  in the Energy sector support to program/project with regard to implementation issues and assure the quality of development assistance, its implementation, admi- nistration, and overall results. Educational Qualifications: Master degree in electricity, electromechanical, economic, Finance or other energy related field. Language Skills: Strong skills in English and French. Arabic is an additional advantage. Experience  & technical skills: • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in project management of energy projects, energy policy formulation, power sector reform and challenges in deve- loping countries. • Knowledge in Power System Technologies (power generation, transmission, distribution; utility management, operations, maintenance, and services, etc.).
