JOB SUMMARY:
Provide financial leadership by acting as the CFO of the Region.
Partner with Region General Manager (GM), Bottler, Customers, and Internal Stakeholders within the Region to deliver business results and improvements on System Financials and to sustain an appropriate control and governance environment.
Provide business decisions that align with the Strategic Business Plan for the Region in liaison with GM supported by Financial Insights (FI) and Planning & Analysis (P&A) teams from the Group/ BU/Region with required financial analysis, reports and benchmarks and the Global Finance operations (GFO) on accounting.
Manage the BU/Function contingency strategies, value chain analysis and financial insights; and coordinate the work of the GFO and BU/Group Finance Teams.
Ensure timely and accurate region statutory & management reporting, adherence to Company policy & procedures within the Region and all associated Legal Entities.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Management of Bottler/Stakeholder Interactions: 50%
Coordinates concentrate pricing strategy and execute pricing changes.
Coordinates System Health discussions with Bottler.
Partner with the Region Manager, BU, and others to define System Health Corridor ranges for the Region’s Bottler(s).
Review and iterate System Health analysis provided by the FI Team and prepare recommendations for Bottler/Stakeholders and facilitate discussions.
Develops and reviews proposals, makes recommendations and coordinates market opportunities in partnership with the Region team and with the Bottler and other internal stakeholders such as;
New launch opportunities with Bottler
CAPEX (CDE, new lines, etc.) opportunities
Concentrate, CAPEX, and other pricing and/or cost sharing models
Negotiate and align marketing, customer, and other investments with stakeholders (marketing, GM, C&CL), Bottlers, and customers
Identify M&A and new business model opportunities
Scout for potential threats & opportunities within tax, legal etc. developments within territory
Develops and implements right pricing strategy in consultation with GM.
Supports leadership team to build business capability and expand portfolio by obtaining the necessary commercial support in evaluating viability of entering into new beverage category or investments in new lines.
Engages with Bottler CFO on Long Range Plans to drive profitable system growth and to get fair share of system profit for the countries under command.
Liaises with Bottlers for receivables management and credit control.
Maintains Bottlers within credit limit, follows up on overdue accounts, and negotiates repayment schedules, liaisons with supply points on problem resolution.
2. Management of BU Financial Information: 25%
Controls and validates operating results and BU financials and proactively making specific recommendations for financial improvements, as well as communication of financial targets and results to management.
Tracks and ensures accurate metrics are used for management of financial risks.
Identifies opportunities pertaining to the future of the business, proposing and managing possible actions for maximizing financial benefits.
Directs financial reporting of Region to BU and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of Region financial statements.
Leads monthly financial results meetings with stakeholders.
Accountable for timeliness of Region financial statement forecasts.
3. Management of relationship with BU Finance: 10%
Leads interactions between region/stakeholders in the region and BU to ensure seamless data flow to and from BU (Engaging stakeholders in the region to provide required data within given time frame and standards).
Directs communications with teams.
Ensures timely and accurate discussions to improve forecasting processes in collaboration with BU and ensures use of standard processes.
Ensures timely and accurate feedback provided to BU services to effectively assess performance.
4. People Development: 10%
Supports individual development of the Region finance associates where appropriate, and contributes to the training and development of others supporting the Region (in the Group/BU, Global Finance Operations, etc.)
Partners with HR to build capabilities in finance function.
Serves as a consultant for training of non-finance associates to improve financial knowledge and understanding.
Coaches, motivates, and helps talent learn and grow by providing feedback and mentoring.
Encourages teams to look to multiple sources to identify and reinforce leading practices.
Educates teams on the importance of anticipating customer needs and measuring outcomes.
5. Internal Controls: 5%
Ensures Company Internal Control requirements are in place and followed for all Region operations – including Region/Franchise offices and all associated Legal Entities, by liaising with GFO, GBS operations.
Manages cooperation with GFO, GBS, AP, BU, Group to ensure Region is fully compliant with Company policy & procedures.

General Manager and the Region’s LT members when appropriate (guidance, supervision, coaching)
BU Finance Director – Functional Manager (advisory/problem solving, brain storming)
BU Finance; BU P&A Manager, BU SE Manager and BU CI/MI Manager, Procurement
Associates within the Region Finance and/or Group, and the Global Finance Operations function (leadership, guidance, coaching)
Interaction with BU functions and Group/HQ functions
External
Bottler Senior Management (Gain commitment to and execution of plans; pricing protocol; new launches, DME investment and funding; information sharing; accounts reconciliations)
Customers Senior Management (gain commitment to and execution of plans; pricing protocol; new launches, DME investment and funding; information sharing; accounts reconciliations)
Government agencies and similar external networks (Tax Authorities, Banks)

ANALYSIS:
Requires ability to manage information management from various sources with leveraging advanced analytical skills and expertise. The individual must also possess advanced project management, collaboration and along with the ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Depending on the project and the type of work the job will need to develop new approaches to solve complex issues.
The individual must also possess analytical acumen to successfully lead and support the Company’s business objectives.
JUDGMENT AND DECISION MAKING:
Autonomous decision making ability and significant latitude for recommendation to management. Full and active involvement in business planning and in relation with Bottlers is required.

Where applicable Region Financial Insights (FI, SE or CMI) Manager and/or Analysts reports to this position.

RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of financial management experience in a major consumer products or a financial services company with responsibility for similar size of operations.
Bottler experience is preferred but not required.
Accounting experience is a strong plus, but not required.
Experience in scenario planning and analyzing new business opportunities.
Optional: experience outside of finance function (marketing, sales or business development).
People management experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
University/Bachelor’s degree - minimum
Postgraduate/Master’s degree - preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Up to 25% travel is required through specific region locations (According to the size of the region)
