(03) Program Unit Managers (PUM)

Garoua, Bamenda, Bertoua
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the authority of the Program Operations Manager, theProgram Unit Managerwill among other tasks perform the following:
Communicate the vision of Plan to the team
Maintain regular and intensive dialogue with Councils, sponsored families, the poorest community members and community leaders;
Promote child centeredness of the interventions, building relationship, quality programming and learning applying a rights based approach
Ensure that opportunities for marketing and grant funding are maximized at PU level
Ensure effective and efficient management of all PU resources and enabling a sound environment for financial control and resource mobilization
Develop Program Unit staff as well monitoring of their performance, manage and facilitate the design of high quality programs and projects in line with the Country Strategic Plan and the Program Unit Long Term Plan;
Manage all Plan activities and operations in the Program Unit;
Manage sponsorship activities within the Program Unit;
Prepare and submit regular, accurate and well-written proposals and reports on programs, projects, grants and other non-sponsorship funding as per established guidelines to the Grants Support Manager;
Prepare and submit special reports on Plan’s successful and unsuccessful projects/programs for PR purposes;
Manage and develop Program Unit staff;
Establish and maintain good working and learning relationships with other Program Units, Program Support Team and with Government, particularly at Regional and Divisional levels, with other relevant NGOs and International Organisations, in order to continuously improve the quality of programs and the image of the organisation.
Contribute to the management of Plan Cameroon by participating actively in the Extended Country Management Team (CMT).
Profil recherché:
At least University Degree in social sciences; economics, Public or Business administration / project management or equivalent
Minimum of five years experience in the field work with at least 3 years in a supervisory position;
Skills & Behaviors:

Ability to think strategically;
Computer literacy – working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
Be fully bilingual (English and French);
