We are looking for :
A FOOD SECURITY AND LIVELIHOODS HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
Based in SIERRA LEONE - Freetown
Country : SIERRA LEONE – Freetown
Length of Contract : 1,5 month starting the 30th of October
Responsibilities :
- To ensure the coordination with key actor of Food
Security and Livelihoods sector (Food and Agriculture Organization,
World Food Programme, Memorandum of Agreement, International NGO and
Local NGO)
- To prepare/ develop tools and methodology for the diagnostics
- To train Action Contre la Faim staff for contextual analysis related to Ebola impact on Food Security
- To identify Food Security and Livelihoods needs and to
formulate Action Contre la Faim intervention for Food Security and
Livelihoods sector related to Ebola response
- To prepare proposal and present CN to donors in Freetown
- To ensure communication with Action Contre la Faim
Headquarters, Action Contre la Faim Sierra Leone and Food Security and
Livelihoods forum.
Qualification and previous experience :
A degree in Agronomy, agriculture, anthropology, geography,
international development or other fields relevant to urban/rural
livelihoods with at least three years of field experience with NGOs in
food security activities.
Experience in proposal writing and in emergency response management.
Capacity to represent ACF externally on technical aspects with local authorities and partners.
Demonstrated experience managing complex operations in challenging
contexts and excellent communication and inter-personal skills. English
fluent is required and French is a plus.
Status: Employee
- Total average yearly gross income : from 44910€ to 51410€
- Fixed-term contract, provided by ACF according to the French legislation.
- All expenses paid on the field:
o Support to the R & R costs : 110€/month average
o Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460€/ month average,
o Collective or individual accommodation depending on position : 700€/month average
o Food and hygiene expenses (living allowance) : 354€
o Per Diem : 202€
- Gross monthly salary ranging from €1805 to €2305 (13rd month included), depending on relevant experience
- Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution
- 25 days of annual paid leaves
- 20 days of extra leaves per year (taken as recovery
time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission)
- Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris
