Save the Children works in 120 countries. We seek to make immediate
and lasting change for children through high impact interventions,
including the fulfilment of their right to education.
Save the Children has transitioned to a new international programme structure to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Since 2011, the management of all country and regional offices has progressively transferred from national Save the Children members, including Save the Children UK, to Save the Children International (SCI). About the role The Regional Adviser will play an integral part in supporting country education teams in West and Central Africa to design and deliver high-quality education programmes, on behalf of Save the Children UK that increase access to quality, inclusive education for children affected by conflict, disaster, poverty and discrimination. The post holder will additionally play a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality programmes with the potential to be scaled up by us and others, as well as raising new institutional funds. About you You will be a credible and authoritative voice in discussions about regional policy, situation analyses and response, and provides technical support in programme development, fundraising, quality assurance, advocacy, recruitment, capacity-building, knowledge management and networking for education in the region at a distance and through regular country visits.
