ICRISAT RECRUTE: Project Manager / Technology Uptake Specialist (Ghana, Mali and Nigeria)

Project Manager /  Technology Uptake Specialist (Ghana, Mali and Nigeria) from a dynamic  and highly  innovative  Project  Manager/ Technology Uptake Specialist to coordinate research activities on groundnut technology uptake and diffusion in Ghana, Mali and Nigeria.This is an internationally recrui- ted staff position in the Senior Scientist cadre of ICRISAT, and will be based at ICRISAT, Bamako, Mali and will work within the Grain Legumes Research Program. Profile: • PhD in Agricultural extension, Rural Development, Seed technology, agricultu- ral economics,Agricultural Sciences, agronomy, natural resource management, plant breeding, crop protection, or related social sciences, with at least 7 years of experience  in agricultural advisory service provision/extension, community- driven development, rural livelihoods, technology exchange, institutional deve- lopment, gender and poverty analysis with relevant work experience in deve- loping countries. • Knowledge of farming systems in sub-Saharan Africa (preferably WCA) • Experience with seed systems, seed delivery and market linkages will be desirable • Strong leadership skills in managing donor funded projects with excellent track records of previously managed projects and proven record of negotiation skills and project coordination experiences.
