Chemonics seeks a finance and operations manager for the
anticipated West Africa Biodiversity and Climate Change (WA-BiCC)
Activity, a five-year, $50 million project aiming to improve
conservation and climate-resilient, low emission growth across West
Africa. WA-BiCC is part of USAID's wider efforts to coordinate closely
with regional West African Partners, such as ECOWAS, to advance
broad-based economic growth and resilience in the region. Most
activities will be in targeted geographical areas, such as the coastal
zone and the inland forests, to improve governance and policy over
critical natural and human systems, while others will be at broader
policy/institution levels.
Qualifications:

Minimum of a master's degree in a relevant discipline or a
bachelor's degree in a relevant field with an additional four years of
experience to the required minimums in areas such as accounting finance
or business administration and applied skills in developing and managing
large budgets

Minimum of five years of financial management and administration experience for an international development project

Previous West Africa experience preferred

Experience in professional accounting and/or auditing, including at
least three years of experience with international donor reporting

At least three years of experience managing sub-grants and
sub-contracts, and demonstrated knowledge of applicable regulations
related to the oversight of such instruments

Demonstrable analytical, organizational and written communication skills in French and English.

Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity

Required oral and written communication and presentations skills in French (tested FSI R3/S3) and English
