Description:
We are currently looking for a person to fill the position of Foreman Trainer, Parts and Service Group, Mine Maintenance.  Under the supervision of the General Foreman – Mine Maintenance, the incumbent identifies and coordinates the training required for the efficient development of the supervisory personnel and provides his employees with the knowledge, skills and competence needed to efficiently carry out the tasks as part of their job requirements.

As a member of Mine Maintenance, the Foreman Trainer creates an environment embodying responsible behaviour by teaching everyone about important Company’s values, such as health and safety at work and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards. The Foreman Trainer works closely with other employees of the Mine Maintenance department as well as other Essakane operations departments. For non-residential candidates of Burkina Faso, it is a FIFO position on a 30/26 rotation.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for his group’s health and safety performance
  • Promote the company’s vision and values
  • Responsible for his group budget
  • Ensure discipline and coordinate his group
  • Responsible for the physical organization in the field of operation of his group
  • Coach and ensure the development of supervisors under his responsibility
  • Implement and carry out various training programs at the site
  • Responsible for the Parts and Service Group, including the following sectors : machine shop, gear type part repairs, cylinder repairs, welding shop, hydraulic hose making, equipment supply, vulcanisation (tire service)
  • Coordinate his group operations with the operations of other groups and departments.
  • Support training and planning activities
Responsible for coordinating development training for employees
Qualifications:
  • University or technical training in mechanical engineering preferable
  • More than 10 years of experience in a related field
  • Solid written and verbal skills in English and French
  • Supervisory experience
  • Global understanding of mining operations and maintenance
  • Extensive experience with mining equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in open-pit mining
  • Experience in developing and managing various training programs.
  • Completion of the “Train the Trainer” adult program an asset
