Description du poste / Fonctions / Attributions :
  1.  Position purpose
Medical marketing support (providing scientific literature, medical information, search of scientific literature)
Assure high quality of medical information in the promotional materials.
Preparation of and reading the reports and lectures on company products.
Medical support of scientific events (congresses, symposiums, advisory Boards, CMEs, Round-tables meetings etc.)
Support of country NIS and ISS  

  1.  Major tasks and responsibilities of position
   Medical Training:
Develop, prepare and conduct medical product trainings for medical representatives in case of new products launch, new indications or to improve knowledge about existing products in coordination with Medical Head, Product Managers and Heads of Business .Units including preparing  assessment tests for medical representatives
 Provision of Medical- Marketing Support:
  • Provide Medical support for Medical activities, including providing scientific literature, medical information and performing search of scientific literature.
 Managing NIS and ISS :
  • Support country NIS and ISS according to the life cycle management plan for a product or area of interest.
  • Work with Clinical Team Leaders and Regional Medical Affairs to ensure alignment of NIS and ISS plans with global product plans.
  • Related to ISS, identifying areas of commercial opportunity and any areas of with other BHC studies.
 Medical/Product Information:
  • Build internal/external reputation as a credible expert in Post-Marketed products and in
               therapy/ diagnostic area.
  • Disseminate information across Local Medical Affairs and Marketing.
  • Build strong competitor intelligence and knowledge of market trends for Therapy/Diagnostic area at local level together with Marketing. Use intelligence to shape and update life cycle management plans for product(s).
  • Seek out latest medical information on products and Therapy/Diagnostic area from internal/external sources, and proactively share good practices with fellow Medical Affairs Clinicians.
         Managing KOLs & External Relationships :
  • Act as a primary point of contact for selected Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and Health care Professionals, securing their expertise in the assessment of Post Marketing programs. Work with other primary points of contact for each KOL to fully leverage KOL relationships.
  •   Maintain tools to monitor and track KOL interactions across therapy/ diagnostic area and regions.
  • Organize and represent Bayer Pharma at local Congresses and Symposia. Managing Key Interfaces

  • Support Medical Affairs Head in building awareness of the role of the Medical Affairs Group, and the value it can provide, within e.g.  Business Unit (BU).
  • Effectively partner with colleagues in the Medical Development Group to maximize the market value of, and commercial opportunities for, products in therapy/ diagnostic area.
  • Proactively maintain productive and efficient interfaces with key partner functions of Medical Affairs e.g., Regulatory, Corporate Communications and Market Access.
    Ensuring Compliance and Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Bayer Pharma SOPs, as well as with legal and ethical standards in the countries.

 4.    Qualifications 
  Medical Degree
  •  Medical doctor with at least 5 years’ working experience with broad medical background.
  •  Disease area knowledge in both existing drugs and new fields of exploration.
  •   Willingness to travel extensively within the Middle Africa Region on business.
  •   Deep understanding of drug development process over different stages.
  •   Experience of developing and delivering presentations and publications.
  •   Strong written and oral communication skills.
  •   Understanding of global regulations and guidelines concerning pharmaceutical marketing
  processes
  •   Experience of effectively managing risk and compliance issues.
  •   Experience of participating in cross-functional teams.
  •   Experience of working across and building effective working relationships between
  functions.
  •   Advanced Computer Literacy
